    Packing Guide: Paris, France

A Guide to Packing for Paris If you’re anything like me, packing is the hardest part of any travel experience. Give me a crowded train station filled with people who don’t speak my language and I’d still find it less of a struggle than packing. When I was packing for my 12 day trip to France, I decided to pack nothing more than a small carry-on suitcase and my Longchamp. I knew I’d need to be organized in order to pull that off, so I decided to make a list of the essentials for Paris! (*Keep in mind: this was based on a trip at the end of April) Clothes and Shoes This is…

    Quick and Easy Brussels Sprouts

Quick and Easy Brussels Sprouts Recipe As much as I love trying new recipes, I also love having simple go-to recipes that are crazy flavorful while being crazy easy to make. I call them my lazy girl recipes… everyone’s gotta have ’em! This is one of my favorite lazy girl recipes because it’s super simple, but also feels super fancy and healthy. Pair it with a glass of wine and you’ll feel fancy as hell while actually being lazy as hell…win-win!     Ingredients (Hopefully) you’ll have all of these ingredients on hand, so this can be whipped up in a matter of minutes.   Brussels Sprouts (duh) 2 tsp Peanut Butter 2…

    No Bake Energy Bites

No Bake Energy Bites I love these energy bites. I made them because I thought they’d be a simple, healthy, nutrient dense pre-workout snack to give me a burst of energy…but I ended up eating them like cookies! I was pleasantly surprised by how sweet they turned out. It reminds me of when I was in middle school and would eat cookie dough with a spoon…but so much healthier!   Recipe Luckily for me, I keep all of these ingredients in my refrigerator/pantry at all times. If you don’t, there are ways to substitute or even work around ingredients altogether. All you need is: 1 cup rolled oats 1/2-1 cup chocolate chips (or…

    Book Review: A Little Life

A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara is quite possibly the saddest book I’ve ever read in my life. I stayed up almost all night (which for me, is a huge deal) in order to finish it. I highly recommend reading this book at some point. However, if you do decide to read it, be prepared with a box of tissues at hand…   Overview A Little Life follows the lives of four men who met and lived together in college. The one constant that kept these men together was their mysterious friend who, after several years, never let slip his life before meeting them. As the book progresses, it dives deeper into…

    Current Obsessions

I live for comfy clothes That’s why all my current obsessions are insanely comfortable. The best part is that you can wear them anywhere depending on how you dress them! Right now, Loft is offering 40% off full price items (or 50% if you’re a cardholder…which I, of course, am)! This is the best time to shop all of their winter looks as well as spring styles when it starts to (finally) warm up. Here are a few of my favorites from Loft, and my favorite jeans from Madewell.   Here I’m wearing the cutest bell sleeve coat!   Here I’m in the best jeans I’ve ever owned (seriously, they’re amazing):

    10 Minute Breakfast Hash

I’m obsessed with breakfast I live and breathe breakfast. If I could have one meal every day for the rest of my life, it would be something with eggs in it. That’s why when I decided to eat more plant-based, I struggled to come up with breakfast foods that hit the spot the way scrambled eggs do. In the end, I decided to eat primarily plant-based, but treat myself every now and then to an egg or two.   The BEST Breakfast Hash This breakfast hash is amazing because it is mostly plant-based…but topped with a good-ole poached egg. The best part about it? It’s just as amazing without the egg! I…

    Dating Apps: Friend or Foe?

Dating apps have changed everything we know about dating As if dating was challenging enough, dating apps have completely changed the dating game. Recently, I decided to give dating apps a try. I’ve never been the type to feel lonely, or want to rush into a relationship, and in fact, I’ve preferred being single for the past two years. I’ve always felt that rushing into a relationship that wasn’t right for me would be a waste of my 20s, and therefore I’ve put little to no effort into meeting someone. Lately, however, I’ve realized I’d like to put myself out there so that I’m not rusty when the time comes…

How to Stay Motivated After New Years

Keeping a New Year’s resolution is hard …and that’s why I chose not to make any resolutions this year. That’s right, none. Instead, I decided to continue focusing on the improvements I’ve made in my life so far over the past couple of months. For starters, I quit a job that made me miserable. After that enormous weight was lifted off my shoulders, I made the most life-changing decision ever and decided to do what’s best for me. That included eating healthier, being more positive, and, of course, working out. Post-New Years Motivation The first few weeks after new years is notorious for having gyms packed full of people trying to achieve unrealistic goals. Personally, my…

Having a Quarter-Life Crisis Might be the Best Thing to Happen to You

“If we want to truly do what’s best not only for our loved ones but for our careers, our teams, and our companies, we need to let go of our death grip on fear, anxiety, pessimism, and worry.” -Shawn Achor, Before Happiness “I’m having a quarter-life crisis…” a friend of mine said to me the other day as we were discussing our lack of excitement at the prospect of our futures. It dawned on me that a “quarter-life crisis” doesn’t have to be a bad thing. After quitting my job, I had immediate doubts about what my future might hold. I mean, I had just spent thousands of dollars getting a degree that I would no…
